My friend in the Los Angeles area on social media was trying to revive an annual parade in early 2024, first time in 20 years. She was gung ho all the way. Around

April, she showed a picture of the beauty queen (Jenn) from the last parade in 2004. I was awestruck! Jenn's pictures were amazing, especially her eyes. I made mention about how beautiful her eyes are and how much I could see in her eyes. My words were direct and filled with praise.

It was only the next day when Jenn saw my comments. She absolutely fell over herself with my words. Then we started a conversation there. Then we went to PM and we went back and forth several times over the next week. Her energy, her beauty, her warmth and caring inspired me to write "Your Eyes". When I sent her a draft, she was so flattered. When the draft became reality and a full fledged song, Jenn was so flattered at the words and the music, she was overjoyed. Then I superimposed her eyes over a picture I took while I was on USAF duty on Wake Island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I think she melted.

"Your Eyes" is about a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. Her warmth, caring and inside beauty showed through her eyes. That beauty is unmistakable! We are friends coast to coast in our frequent correspondence. Her eyes are also a reawakening of another beautiful woman I've already mentioned, Candy. The depth and hypnotic sense in Candy's eyes were ALWAYS in my heart, almost 50 years later. Candy took my breath away in 1976 and has yet to give it back to me.
